I'd love to have a pair of the Dynaco Mk IV's
Your neighbors called. They like your music.
I wonder, 803A woofers or multicells?
Just my .02, but i'd hold out for a pair of Heathkit W4am's. IMO&E the sonic potential of most Dynaco amps gets bottlenecked in the OPT's. While the Heath's are really only half the output power, they have superior output iron(acro or peerless i think) and IMO the 20 watt output rating is a bit conservative. IMO, they are on par with the MC225 sonically at a fraction of the price. I really don't have the time, interest, or money to put into tubes for the next couple years, but W4's are something i'd make happen if i crossed paths with a reasonable deal at any time. By the time i got an ST-70 where i was happy with it about the only thing "Dynaco" left of it was the chassis, and i could have easily bought a better plug n play amplifier for what i invested in the ST-70 all tolled. YMMV........I'd love to have a pair of the Dynaco Mk IV's
